APP/File QUETTA: Balochistan Governor retired Justice Amanullah Khan Yasinzai on Thursday said that people and students having interest in reading and research should seek help and guidance from new books on Artificial Inte­lligence and Biotechnology. Speaking at a meeting during his visit to Sardar Bahadur Khan Women’s Uni­versity, he said though the university’s perform­ance had improved a lot, more work still needed to be done to make it one of the best institutions of the country. Vice chancellor Dr Sajida Noreen, senior professors and other officials were present on the occasion.

Volunteers convert unused building into a library, hold book festival Book lovers welcomed 2021 with a book fair in Quetta. In 2019, some youngsters had converted the non-operational building of a local hospital into the Lore Karez Sariyab Library. The three-day Sariyab Literary Festival and Book Fair (February 21 to 23) brought together teachers, students and a general book reading public from across the province. The festival started on February 21, the Mother Languages Day, with a poetry recitations gathering. Many renowned poets presented their poetry in Balochi, Brahvi and Urdu and received appreciation from a lively audience. There were six discussion sessions at which issues like youth activism and leadership, career counselling, importance of reading book and female education and empowerment were discussed first among panelists and then by the panelists and the remaining participants. Top Story January 10, 2021 ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Imran Khan said on Saturday that those speaking against the Army will be taken to task. Speaking to digital media representatives, Imran Khan said institutions are being pressured to save loot and plunder. According to a private news channel, the premier said those attacking the institutions will not be spared. He said the corrupt elements are mistaken that they can blackmail him. He said it is unprecedented that the Army is being criticised under a democratic government just to save corruption. He said PDM was a group of thieves and robbers that sought NRO from him in written form.
