Dr. Dale Anderson will succeed

Anderson was managing director at BDC Advisors in multispecialty group practice and hospital medical group management until his retirement in 2017.
Before joining BDC Advisors, he was president of the OhioHealth Medical Specialty Foundation in Columbus, Ohio, where he assisted the $4.54 billion health system in developing the infrastructure for effective physician employment. The Sarasota Concert Association has announced that Dr. Dale Anderson will succeed Joy McIntyre as the organization’s board president. McIntyre will remain on the SCA board as immediate past president. During its annual meeting on April 22, the board of the Sarasota Concert Association also welcomed Ann Stephenson-Moe and Paula Rothman as new members.

“The Sarasota Concert Association has been very fortunate to have Joy at the helm,” she says. “Joy has steered our organization through an exciting period of growth, including our celebratory 75th anniversary season. Under Joy’s leadership, we’ve experienced eight years of great progress and success. We’re thrilled that she will remain on the board and continue to share her wise counsel.”
Now the organization has announced its 77th season which marks a return to a full schedule of classical music stars and emerging artists featured in five concert programs at the Van Wezel Performing Arts Hall and the Riverview Performing Arts Center.
“We’re thrilled to be able to return to the concert hall and resume our Great Performers Series,” said Linda Moxley, who joined the organization last summer as executive director. “It’s an exciting season, highlighted by the fact that we were able to bring back three of the artists who were scheduled to be part of our canceled 2021 season.”
A romantic touch with Sarasota Ballet
The Sarasota Ballet revisits two popular works from past seasons with its fifth digital program this weekend. Ballet lovers can experience “Amorosa,” a 2019 piece by principal dancer and resident choreographer Ricardo Graziano that is being performed for the first time since its premiere. It is set to Antonio Vivaldi’s “Cello Concertos.” Also on the program is George Balanchine’s 1960 ballet “Donizetti Variations,” which is danced to music from Gaetano Donizetti’s opera “Don Sebastian.” The program is available Friday through Tuesday for $35.
