Defend Cuba, defend socialism!

Anti-communist forces led by the U.S. government are mounting a no-holds-barred attack on revolutionary Cuba. That country continues to advance with determination on its own road to socialism, begun Jan. 1, 1959, when forces led by Fidel Castro and Ernesto “Ché” Guevara overturned the U.S.-backed government of dictator Fulgencio Batista.

The current assault on Cuba was launched full-scale on social media at the beginning of July. But the U.S. first declared ideological and economic war on Cuba in 1960 by placing a brutal economic and social blockade on the country that remains in place.
Sara Diamond has shared her new single Say My Name Again .
The songwriter dips into some classic R&B sounds - think TLC, Destiny s Child - while adding a 2k21 spin.
Future-facing but with a classic feel, she uses music as a lens to filter her thoughts and emotions through. Say My Name Again is out now, and it finds Sara Diamond exploring the lingering aftermath of a break up.
Delivered in a sweetly contagious way, the song is a nuanced depiction of love lost, and the simmering feelings that remain.
She explains: I went through a messy breakup where it felt like my world was turned upside down. Our original intentions regarding the relationship went up in flames. We started off wanting to stay in each other’s lives and ended up at the opposite end, eliminating space for each other completely. This song is a final cry, literally pleading for a do over.”

“I contend that America is a religion…Our religious symbols are guns and dollar bills. We hold those symbols to be sacred,” the Rev. Dr. Emma Jordan-Simmons told me on inauguration day. We were discussing the role religion played in the January 6th insurrection. In 2020,
Adventure Club announced their forthcoming album and released a plethora of singles via Ultra Music. Bringing along talents such as Yuna, Sara Diamond, Cammie Robinson, Dia Frampton, and Squired, leaving fans anxiously awaiting the LP’s full release. Making it their first full studio album since 2016, Adventure Club continues to move along with their 5th single “Anywhere,” with
ARMNHMR and
HALIENE.
Fans have been waiting for this track for what seems like forever, with excitement only growing after ARMNHMR played it out during Insomniac’s Nocturnal Rave-A-Thon last April.
HALIENE has been a part of some of EDM’s biggest hits, frequently teaming up with Seven Lions, Excision, Armin van Buuren, Bear Grillz, Andrew Rayel, and more. And so, her contribution to this track definitely makes it what it is, alongside the stunning production from both Adventure Club and ARMNHMR.
