MUMBAI: The Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) on Monday filed an FIR at the NM Joshi police station against a restaurant and bar at Kamala Mills Compound in Lower Parel for flouting Covid-19 norms.
The police action comes following a video clip which was circulated by the Raj Thackeray-led Maharashtra Navnirman Sena s former corporator Santosh Dhuri alleging that Covid norms were being brazenly flouted in the chief minister of Maharashtra Uddhav Thackeray s son Aaditya Thackeray s MLA constituency, Worli.
The BMC, however, refuted the same and said that they proactively acted as civic teams were already on the lookout for those not following Covid-appropriate behaviour.
