NYC’s most popular pandemic-born fried chicken restaurant may have a permanent home
Pecking House, chef Eric Huang’s fried chicken restaurant with a weeks-long waitlist, appears to have found a brick-and-mortar location in Park Slope, at 62 Seventh Avenue, near Lincoln Place. Patch first reported the news.
The lease is still being finalized, the Eleven Madison Park alum tells Eater New York, but Huang and Maya Ferrante have already received approval from Community Board 6, according to Patch, which also mentioned that a liquor license is in the works.
Critics across the city have raved about Huang’s chile-spiked chicken, which he has been frying up in his family’s Chinese American restaurant in Fresh Meadows, Queens, and delivering throughout parts of Queens, Brooklyn, and Manhattan. During a recent pop-up held at the Market Line at Essex Crossing, lines snaked throughout the market.
