Local couple fights for Walnut Avenue's iconic redwood tree – Santa Cruz Sentinel

A local business owner and his partner are contesting the potential removal of a 120-foot-tall coast redwood tree on Walnut Avenue in Santa Cruz. The decision whether to keep or remove the tree was postponed by the Santa Cruz City Council and will be decided in December.
