An update on the earthquake damage up in napa. The estimate for damage to private homes and businesses in the city is up to 300 million so far. That does not by the way include the public buildings, the roads, bridges or economic fallout. Building inspectors have about 800 buildings they need to check for damage. More than half of the broken water lines have been fixed thanks to some help from outside the city. But almost 500 customers still dont have running water. Successful. Pg e is blaming human error for the breach. These fresh tire tracks in this video suggest the thieves simply drove off with the Construction Equipment they stole. Among the stolen property, possibly two tampers, like these. Someone cut a hole in the fence and snuck in overnight tuesday on wednesday morning. The fence detection alarms went off, but pg e says substation security personnel did not appropriately address them. Detectives spent yesterday combing the area and reviewing surveillance video. This is a huge crime scene. This is a very big area. So obviously, just the scope of it, the size of it, is obviously challenging. Reporter this is also the site of a highprofile sniper attack last year when someone cut underground phone cables, shot up the plant and knocked out 17 transformers.
