CASS CITY Cass City School’s graduation wasn’t just the last day for seniors but also for a veteran educator as well.
Chad Daniels, who is the high school principal, has coordinated the high school graduation for the last 14 years. It was his last one as he retires at the end of June.
Overall, he has been with the district for 26 years.
“I think I’m the longest serving high school principal in Huron, Sanilac and Tuscola counties,” he said.
Although Daniels graduated from a neighboring school district, his roots run deep in the Cass City School District, where he started his career in 1996 to teach alternative education. His career evolved into teaching, coaching academics at the high school and becoming the high school principal.
