Jun 25, 2021 Jasmine Hartin Remanded until Bail is Posted In a turn of events, Canadian Jasmine Hartin, who was out on bail and facing charges of manslaughter by negligence in the death of police Superintendent Henry Jemmott at San Pedro last month, is once more in the arms of the law. New charges were levied against her this morning following an incident at the Grand Colony Hotel in San Pedro on Tuesday, but as News Five’s Duane Moody found out today at the Supreme Court there were bigger problems brewing for the mother of two.   Duane Moody, Reporting After three p.m. today, Jasmine Hartin was escorted up the steps of the Supreme Court in Belize City where she reappeared before Justice Herbert Lord.  It wasn’t a bail revocation hearing, but actually a session to hear a withdrawal application from Frank Habet, the General Manager of Grand Colony Resort, who had posted the thirty-thousand-dollar bail bond and signed the surety of the same amount on behalf of Hart

May 31, 2021 Jasmine Hartin Three days after the shooting death of Superintendent Henry Jemmott on San Pedro, the main suspect, Canadian national Jasmine Hartin was charged for his killing. Along with attorney Godfrey Smith, Hartin appeared before the magistrate where she was charged with Manslaughter by Negligence.  While it is not known if she was being given special treatment or it was simply procedural, around midday today, the media reps that were awaiting the arraignment were escorted off the compound. News Five’s Duane Moody reports.   Duane Moody, Reporting  Late this evening, thirty-two-year-old Jasmine Hartin was arraigned in the San Pedro Magistrate’s Court for the charge of Manslaughter by Negligence for the shooting death of Superintendent Henry Jemmott. The charges were leveled following a directive given by the Director of Public Prosecutions this afternoon.

The body of Henry Jemmott was found floating in waters off San Pedro, Belize, with a single gunshot wound to his head, on Friday morning, local media reported. The 42-year-old father of five was reportedly drinking on a pier on Thursday evening with Jasmine Hartin, 38, the partner of Andrew Ashcroft. She had allegedly been playing around with Jemmott s gun, while the pair were drinking, when the officer was fatally shot, police believe.
