His attempts to win attention for eating pizza bring viral merriment to a weary nation. By Bruce Murphy - Dec 28th, 2020 12:27 pm //end headline wrapper ?>Scott Walker. File photo by Kate Golden of the Wisconsin Center for Investigative Journalism.
Eating a pizza shouldn’t be this complicated.
But for former Wisconsin governor and tireless self-promoter
Back in the summer of 2019 his photo of a “veggie pizza on the lake!” that wasn’t really a pizza at all went viral, in a round of ridicule that Huff Post reported. If you have a few spare moments I recommend scrolling through the story and the tweeted parodies of Walker’s purported pizza. My favorite is the “fish tacos by my sink,” though “hot dogs on the lake” is equally funny.
Image from: Twitter A mendacious tool. That about sums up former Wisconsin Governor and Koch brothers-inserted flunky as well as anything. This might not be his worst transgression ever, not even close, but it s indicative of how Republicans seem to operate these days. Don t want to risk COVID but want some good guy points for supporting local businesses? Fine, just fake it.
Jerk.
We need to support local restaurants and small businesses in these difficult and trying times. You know it, we know it, former Wisconsin governor Scott Walker knows it. Don’t believe us on the last part? Behold this priceless tweet from Saturday, in which Walker beams about a night out at downtown pizza joint San Giorgio Pizzeria Napoletana.
