Soprano Julia Bullock Photo: S.F. Symphony
Julia Bullock’s gifts as a soprano have been well established in the Bay Area, from her star-is-born 2013 turn in “West Side Story” at the San Francisco Symphony through her lead role four years later in the world premiere of John Adams’ “Girls of the Golden West” at the San Francisco Opera.
But her ambitions have always gone well beyond performing. Bullock, 34, made an early splash with a stage show she created around the life and work of the Jazz Age singer Josephine Baker, and now she is poised to reveal her newest curatorial project, a wonderfully eclectic musical program titled “Lineage.”
