The company aims to tap into the growing base of premium smartphone users in the country by pursuing an aggressive market strategy, including a presence across 10,000 retail stores to target rural hinterlands. Aditya Babbar, senior director, mobile business, Samsung India, said the firm was extending its reach to the rural population, which has been emerging as a growing market for flagship phones in India due to affordability and financing options.
