Tenenbaum s retirement is effective June 1.
When asked what his plans are when he retires, Tenenbaum says he plans to get back to the gym and live in the mountains. The single item left on his bucket list, he says, is to also visit Normandy to pay his respects.

What is something people wouldn’t guess about you just by looking at you?
“I’ve had two careers. The one that they might not think that I would be involved in is that I’m an opera singer. I trained for opera in college. I’ve done quite a bit of cantorial singing at different synagogues in the area. I’ve done two operas. Presently, I do some performing in different events with my accompanist, Steve Pennington. He’s been a very valuable asset to me. My other career is that I happened to be a professional wrestler for many years here in Birmingham. I performed under a mask as “The Great Kaiser,” the masked Austrian wrestler. I used to wrestle just about every Monday night at Boutwell Auditorium. I had maybe a 35-year career in wrestling and

It appears the COVID-19 outbreak has changed that, at least for the time being.
The shift in the market began with the pandemic-induced stay-at home orders put into place last spring and summer, and it has been extended by a decline in the number of people who typically move to Central Texas from out-of-state, market experts say. At the same time, new apartment projects that were planned before the pandemic continued to be completed, adding even more available units into the market.
The upshot is that, for the first time in years, renters and landlords in the Austin area appear to be approaching equal footing, market experts say.

After rough 2020, is Austin s office market poised for a rebound?
The coronavirus pandemic isn t done battering the Central Texas office market, but local commercial brokers say they are seeing signs of that things could improve in the coming months.
Office vacancies were still on the rise and the rental rates being sought were flat in the fourth quarter, according to new industry reports. Office leasing remains far below 2019 s pace, and in line with the leasing activity seen during the last recession, according to CoStar Group, a real estate data company.
But some local office brokers say 2021 could see a turnaround – albeit a gradual one –for the market. Demand for office space has started to pick up again, they say, although it remains below what it was pre-pandemic.
