North Callaway outpaces Van-Far | The Mexico Ledger

It’s good to be home. That was evidenced as the North Callaway Thunderbirds hosted Van-Far Tuesday night. It was Callaway’s first home game and the T-Birds didn’t disappoint their fans with an impressive 80-50 win, despite big numbers from the Indians’ Nikos Connaway. “It was nice to get back on the winning track,” said coach Matt Miller. With COVID-19 always in the shadows, Callaway opted to celebrate Senior Night, which is normally the last home game of the season. “All four of our seniors played a great game,” Miller said. After trailing 13-12 at the end of the first quarter, Callaway caught fire and steamrolled to the commanding win.
