Galway Bay fm newsroom – Gardaí have issued an appeal for witnesses to the serious assault of a young woman in Salthill a fortnight ago.
Sometime between 7.30pm and 8pm on Saturday, April 24th, the woman was assault by another woman at Salthill Park.
Gardaí say on the day in question, there were a lot of people in Salthill enjoying the sunshine, whom they believe may have witnessed the incident.
Anyone who may have information, including video footage, is asked to contact Salthill Garda Station on 091-514720.

Galway Bay fm newsroom – Gardaà have renewed their appeal for information following a fatal weekend road collision in the Spiddal area, in which a motorcyclist was killed.
The collision between a motorbike and a car, took place on the R336 between Inverin and Spiddal on Saturday shortly after 8pm.
The driver of the motorcycle was pronounced dead at the scene, while a man and woman, the occupants of the car, were taken to UHG as a precautionary measure.
The motorcyclist has been named locally as Conor Quinn, aged in his mid 30s, and who had been living in the Bothar Bui area in Inverin.

TWO MOTORCYCLISTS HAVE died following separate crashes in Cavan and Galway.
The incident in Cavan occurred at Corratillan, Corlough, on the R202 regional road at approximately 3pm yesterday.
Gardaí were called to the crash and the motorcyclist, a man in his 50s, was pronounced dead at the scene.
The man’s body was removed to Cavan General Hospital where a post-mortem will take place at a later date.
The road is closed to allow Garda Forensic Collision Investigators to examine the site and local diversions are in place.

Galway Bay FM Newsroom – The R336 between An Spideal and Indreabhán has reopened following a a fatal road traffic collision that happened in Spiddal last night
A motorcyclist was killed when his bike and a car collided on the R336 yesterday evening around 8pm.
The motorcyclist, aged in his 30s, was pronounced dead at the scene.
The occupants of the car, a man and woman in their 20s, were taken to Galway University Hospital as a precaution.
Any road users who were travelling on the R336, between Inverin and Spiddal yesterday evening, who may have camera footage is asked to make it available to GardaÃ.
