Brexit has cost Scotland up to £100 million-a-year in ‘lost’ salmon exports, due to increased red tape and costs triggered by the departure from the EU in January 2020, according to Salmon Scotland.
Trade body Salmon Scotland has called for swifter action to introduce an electronic system for UK exporters, after fisheries minister Mark Spencer hailed similar measures which support seafood imports from Norway.
