Chatter has been increasing about potential “reforms” to Oklahoma’s tax system in the name of “inflation relief,” but everyday Oklahomans shouldn’t be fooled.
News about this week’s special session was slow until Friday night when House Speaker Charles McCall dropped a news release saying the House on Monday would be introducing an array of bills to spark “a thoughtful conversation” on inflation relief.
With Oklahoma’s 2022 regular legislative session officially closed, I wanted to reflect on the upcoming state budget, as well as look ahead to the upcoming special session that starts on Monday.
