Sabah’s Covid-19 caseload spiked to 162 on Friday from 126 the day earlier.
Sabah’s Covid-19 spokesperson Datuk Seri Masidi Manjun said the surge was due to a higher positivity rate, which rose to 8.17 per cent on Friday from 6.64 per cent on Thursday.
He said the number of test samples also increased from 1,897 to 1,983.
Kota Kinabalu topped the list with 57 cases, followed by Penampang (14), Papar (11), Kota Belud (9), Lahad Datu (9), Kota Marudu (8) and Tawau (8).
“Seven districts did not record any new cases,” he said in a statement, Friday, adding that all 162 cases were category one and two infections.
No deaths or new clusters were identified.
Sabah’s Covid-19 caseload decreased to 103 on Saturday from 125 on Friday.
Sabah’s Covid-19 spokesperson Datuk Seri Masidi Manjun said the decrease corresponded with a lower number of test samples (1,590), while the positivity rate increased marginally from 6.34 per cent to 6.48 per cent
Sabah’s Covid-19 caseload spiked to 145 on Wednesday from 133 the day earlier and one death was recorded in Putatan.
Sabah’s Covid-19 spokesperson Datuk Seri Masidi Manjun said the increase was due the higher positivity rate which increased from 6.95 per cent to 7.64 per cent.
Kota Kinabalu topped the list with 58 cases, followed by Kota Marudu (13), Tuaran (12), Lahad Datu (11), Tawau (10) and Sandakan (9).
“Ten districts did not record any new infections,” he said in a statement, Wednesday.
He said all 145 cases were category one and two infections, while no new clusters were identified.
