Fredericton councillors will consider whether to spend $1.3 million as part of next year's budget on hiring four new police officers, as well as launching a pilot project to have contracted security guards patrol the city's multi-use trails and commercial districts.
The City of Fredericton is spending $250,000 to install 10 electric vehicle charging stations across five locations, and while a majority of council approved of the plan, some councillors said they think it's not worth the investment.
