Efforts by Jesus College students to remove a memorial to Tobias Rustat, who invested in the Royal African Company, were likened to trying to get rid of an unpopular relative .
Undergraduates at the college are demanding the removal of a plaque to Tobias Rustat, a courtier to King Charles II, after it emerged that he had held a leadership position in a slave-trading firm.
