how did we get here in terms of the gop? listen, you know, stephanie, there are a lot of people who are wrong about donald trump in 2016. but it s harder to find anyone more wrong than me. i did not think he had when the primary, i did not think he d win the general. and when he did, i had asked myself a lot of tough questions. how is it that i did not see this? and there is sort of a trove of books that people write about washington, if only they could listen to me. i can write that book, because they did listen to me. i helped elect a lot of these people. and i never know million years saw this coming and. i think the conclusion that i came to is that there really been two strains in the republican party post-world war ii. an eisenhower strain, which was a boring, conservative governing strain. and then mccarthy strain,
but that s not saying that people were not serving honorably, we know a lot of these capitol police officers are traumatized. and affecting their lives because of the trauma. but the real question about what is going on there. and as someone who has now watched [inaudible] all eight happen, the committee does have the work cut out for it and. that is to make this high-level new information hearing. because while it is still striking to hear video and see new information out january 6th, the big question is what else do we not know? joyce, i want to go back to something yamiche just said, and i want you to underline it for us. because after cassidy hutchinson testified, we heard that seven, one, or maybe several, members of the secret service were gonna come out on the record, under oath, and

as the conservative. that s exactly what i just said. the only difference between what i said and what you re saying is you want me to sign a pledge that i m not going to sign because we can actually fix this problem. maria, i m willing to take her seriously, because a lot of conservative voters are, but she s equating rule of law enforcement, american standard of living which basically says there should be no immigration whatsoever. which i don t think is really economically realistic for the kind of nation we are. well, no. if she is talking about american values, we need immigration, because a lot of these young immigrants are much younger than the rest of the american public. let s go back, the fact that she s questioning whether he is a bonified tea party is ludicrous. that s one of the reasons why they re putting him on the ballot tomorrow, because one thing to watch out for tomorrow
