Royston and Cambridgeshire venues receive COVID-19 grants

Published: 4:59 PM April 6, 2021    Cambridge Arts Theatre has been awarded money as part of the Government’s £1.57 billion Culture Recovery Fund (CRF). - Credit: Cambridge Arts Theatre Venues and organisations in Royston and across Cambridgeshire have received cash in the second round of awards from the government s £1.57billion Culture Recovery Fund. Culture Secretary Oliver Dowden announced on Good Friday details of 2,700 organisations across the country being offered nearly £400 million in grants and loans to help them reopen and recover, on top of the £1billion that has already been allocated in the first round. Royston Picture Palace and Saffron Screen, Cambridge Junction and Cambridge Arts Theatre Trust Ltd are among those benefiting in the East of England.

Picture: NETFLIX - Credit: NETFLIX Based in Royston Town Hall, Mank (12A) will be the first film screened at Royston Picture Palace following the second national lockdown. Starring Gary Oldman, Amanda Seyfried and Charles Dance, Mank can be seen at the cinema in Melbourn Street on Friday, December 18 at 7.30pm.
