Rolls-Royce Takes Wraps Off Custom Built Boat Tail By Dawn Geske Rolls-Royce unveiled the Boat Tail as part of its Coachbuild program.
Rolls-Royce is going back to its roots with a custom-built car that only three lucky owners will have the opportunity to drive away in.
The car dubbed the Boat Tail comes with what is thought to be an estimated $25 million price tag, although Roll-Royce did not specify a number, only saying that three buyers commissioned the vehicles, with all of them wanting a nautical feel without revealing their identities, CNN reported.
As part of its Coachbuild program, Rolls-Royce will work with customers to design and build a car that is specifically tailored to the owner. Only one car will be produced every few years, Rolls-Royce executives said, but the cost of how much the entire development process from design to delivery was unclear at the time of writing.
