OTTAWA, ON, Dec. 18, 2020 /CNW/ - Today, the Canadian federal government proposed lowering allowable nicotine levels in regulated vapour products, which would minimize their value to adult smokers seeking to transition to a reduced risk category.
The effectiveness of vaping as a harm reduction product is contingent upon smokers having access to an alternative with sufficient nicotine. A limit of 20mg/mL is simply too low for many smokers, said Allan Rewak, Executive Director of VITA of Canada. Adult smokers need access to higher nicotine vapour products at the beginning of their journey from smoking to vaping. Lowering this limit is just going to keep more smokers smoking.

RAWALPINDI (Dunya News) - Pakistan has successfully conducted the Membership of Royal Colleges of Physicians (MRCP), UK PACES clinical examination at Pak Emirates Military Hospital Rawalpindi, the first ever centre established in the country by Royal College of Physicians UK.
After mutual collaboration, conferences and Memorandum of Understanding between Surgeon General of Pakistan Army and Royal College of Physicians UK, Federation of Royal Colleges of Physicians UK, a five-member team headed by International Medical Director for MRCP Dr Donald Farquhar visited Pakistan to conduct MRCP PACES clinical examination, said an Inter Services Public Relations (ISPR) press release.

For the first time, examinations for the membership of the Royal Colleges of Physicians (MRCP), was conducted in the country.
The UK PACES clinical examination was held at the Pak-Emirates Military Hospital in Rawalpindi, the first-ever centre established in the country by the Royal College of Physicians.
The Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) on Tuesday said that the exam lasted for three days and 45 candidates sat the exam.
After the mutual collaboration, conferences and a Memorandum Of Understanding (MoU) signed between the Surgeon General of Pakistan Army and Royal College of Physicians UK, Federation of Royal Colleges of Physicians UK, a five-member team headed by International Medical Director for MRCP Dr Donald Farquhar had visited Pakistan to conduct MRCP PACES clinical examination.

A team of UK physicians visited Pakistan to oversee “MRCP PACES” clinical examination, a statement issued by the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) said on Tuesday.
“After mutual collaboration, conferences and memorandum of understanding (MoU) between Surgeon General of Pakistan Army and Royal College of Physicians UK, the Federation of Royal Colleges of Physicians UK s five members team – headed by Dr Donald Farquhar, the International Medical Director for MRCP – visited Pakistan to conduct MRCP PACES clinical examination,” it added.
