What I'm Reading: Peter Dowling

11:32, Jul 06 2021 LAWRENCE SMITH/Stuff Peter Dowling, founder of Oratia Media. Like many a publishing person, my winter reading is dominated by design PDFs, printer proofs and advances of forthcoming titles. Watching a book blossom as it travels from manuscript to page to print never loses its thrill. One set of proofs that have been gladdening our hearts during the voyage to publication is Blimmin’ Koro / Kātahi rā, e Koro e!. Jill Bevan-Brown’s bilingual picture book tells of a whānau’s love for their ‘blimmin’ Koro’ as he develops dementia, with lovely illustrations by Christchurch artist Trish Bowles.
