New Canaan police: Unlocked vehicles rummaged through, stolen

NEW CANAAN After several recent instances of vehicles stolen or entered in town, police are again reminding residents to lock their vehicles and remove valuables.
The recent incidents began around 10:30 a.m. on April 15.
Police responded to Rosebrook Road for a reported stolen 2016 Honda Odyssey. Police said the owner told officers the doors were “probably unlocked” but that the keys weren’t inside.
The next instances happened shortly before 7 a.m. Monday.
A Douglas Road resident reported their 2019 Honda CRV was stolen with the keys inside it. While officers were investigating, they found a vehicle parked in the middle of the road. A check on the license plate indicated it had been reported stolen out of Bridgeport.
