LEWISTOWN- During the Derry Township Board of Supervisors meeting on Monday evening, Deb Pallo, from the Kishacoquillas (Kish) Dog Park Committee, expressed concerns issues about policies being broken at the dog park. These broken policies include: unvaccinated dogs, including puppies, coming to the park, which is not allowed, children playing in the dog park, eating in the dog park as well as alcoholic drinking and smoking occurring. Pallo had previously purchased signs to stop smoking at the park which were taken down.
The dog park committee is looking into enforcing a membership, a low cost one, with a card system that allows members to get into a newly implemented gate. The update to the park is an estimated $800 to $1,000.
