Happy New Year s Eve. It’ll be a slow couple of days as Jas and myself are taking the holiday off. Get away from football and enjoy life.
The 49ers offense is built around its run game. Last season, for example, the Ravens, 49ers and Vikings were the only teams with more rushing attempts than passes. That ratio has flipped for the 49ers this season, one in which they have consistently hurt themselves with turnovers, forcing them to play from behind.

The NFL betting board has three games this Boxing Day including an NFC West matchup between the San Francisco 49ers and Arizona Cardinals.
With an 8-6 record, the Cardinals are in the middle of a playoff push and installed as 4.5-point favorites against the 49ers, who have struggled through an injury-plagued campaign after making the Super Bowl just 10 months ago.

Dec. 20 Sunday’s game between the 49ers and Cowboys was supposed to be one of the biggest of the year.
It was supposed to feature two marquee franchises with Super Bowl aspirations scheduled to play on NBC’sSunday Night Football, serving as the premier game of the Week 15 slate.
Instead, both teams lost their starting quarterbacks to injuries, are 9-17 combined and the game has been flexed to the 10 a.m. slot on the West Coast in favor of the Browns and Giants (seriously). That game will be a matchup of two playoff teams, while San Francisco vs. Dallas will not, even though 49ers players have talked about winning the final three games to keep their postseason chances alive as a source of motivation.

The 49ers will travel to Dallas after Friday’s practice. The likelihood of Raheem Mostert playing on Sunday is good. George Kittle? While he looked better during Thursday’s practice, not so much.
No team in the NFL has been hit harder by injuries than the 49ers. As of this week, they have more than $71 million on injured reserve. At one point, they were missing more than $80 million in salary-cap space because of various ailments.
