(Photo courtesy The Dancing Elephant) ROCKLAND  On Friday, July 9, from 6 - 8 p.m., Robert Schneider will give a public talk on the Buddhist teachings on “Emptiness.” Community members can participate in-person at The Dancing Elephant at 14 School Street, Rockland or via Zoom. The program is by donation, and registration is required. Together, Schneider and community members will explore the question: What is the Middle Way and how can we apply it to our own lives? He will offer insights on emptiness, the interdependent nature of reality, and the self as a mental construct. According to the Madhyamaka or Middle Way teachings, we and the world exist, but not in the way we ordinarily think they do. Join us to learn more, enjoy time for meditation, and share in discussion with other community members.
