Weymouth Post 79 hopeful despite playoff loss By Mark Ducharme Correspondent A change in the American Legion Zone 6 baseball schedule is helping Weymouth Post 79 learn about its strengths and weaknesses.  The league had to produce a team to represent the Zone for the State Tournament held in Quincy in August. League officials held a playoff during the week of July 11-17 to pick that team. An additional playoff game will be played at the end of the regular season to get another team in the post-season tournament. Post 79 had a tough time in its play-in game against Milton at home (July 11). Weymouth held a 1-0 lead in the fifth inning, but wild pitching hurt them that helped contribute to an 8-1 loss.
