Central New York Raises Over $75,000 For St Jude
Central New York may not be the biggest area in the country but it s filled with people who have the biggest hearts. Your generosity helped raise thousands of dollars, in the midst of a coronavirus pandemic, for St Jude Children s Research Hospital.

Palmieri Issues Another Snow Emergency
Due to today s forecast and the need for safe passage of DPW and emergency services vehicles, Mayor Rob Palmieri has declared a Snow Emergency that will go into effect at 10:00 tonight.
All vehicles must be off City streets by 10:00 or they will be subject to ticketing and towing.
The Snow Emergency will remain in effect until 8:00 Wednesday morning.
Palmieri Presents 2021-22 Budget Proposal
The $72. 7 million spending plan contains no property tax increase.
Palmieri says in putting together the budget, the administration’s goal was to protect the fiscal health of the City.
The mayor says actions included the following;:
Reduced spending of daily operations
Decreased major capital purchases by 75%
Instituted a hiring freeze for all vacant positions
Temporarily eliminated 80% of part-time employees and reduced non-essential overtime
Reduced salary of several part-time employees
Sought voluntary furlough for certain full-time positions
Issued an early retirement incentive program for CSEA members and nonunion employees
He says the result is the City’s eighth consecutive budget surplus.
