While ski fields are pleased to welcome travellers back to the slopes after the government announced its border reopening plan, the industry says their hopes might be shot if self-isolation rules keep travellers away.

School closes, as snow touches down in Taranaki town for the first time in 10 years

It s the first time snow has settled in the region since 2011. Students Neive Rayner, Lily Single and teacher Ben Single made a giant snowballs, threw snowballs at each other and made use of the snow-covered playground.
