Lexington Baptist Church goes to the ballpark for Easter

Lexington Baptist Church goes to the ballpark for Easter VIDEO: Lexington Baptist Church goes to the ballpark for Easter By Chris Joseph | April 4, 2021 at 4:19 PM EDT - Updated April 4 at 6:45 PM LEXINGTON, S.C. (WIS) - Easter Sunday looked different this year for Lexington Baptist Church. In an effort to provide an open-air gathering place that allowed for social distancing, the church hosted two services at the Lexington County Baseball Stadium, home of the amateur Lexington County Blowfish. Executive Pastor Mark Owens said the planning of the services was a months-long process. He credited the church staff and Blowfish owner Bill Shanahan for making the event possible.

Five Second-Year Defensive Players With Breakout Potential in 2021

defensive players who I think could have similar breakouts. Let’s hop to it. 1. Collin Clay, DE: Only days after tearing his ACL in fall training camp, Collin Clay, an Arkansas transfer, finally got word that his eligibility waiver to play immediately in 2020 had been NCAA-approved. It was a legit bummer for a guy I’d slotted as a starter on the front line of OSU’s defense. But the breakout is indeed coming. With a fully healed ACL, an offseason of preparation and some training by none other than Rob Glass, he’s a guy whose future I think Pokes fans should be thrilled about. Havoc-wreaker who can get after the QB but also stuff the run. Dynamic weapon.

No, public schools are not modeled after factories. Here's why Betsy DeVos keeps saying they are.

No, public schools are not modeled after factories. Here’s why Betsy DeVos keeps saying they are. Valerie Strauss (The New Press) For years we’ve heard Democrats such as Arne Duncan, education secretary under President Barack Obama, and Republicans such as Betsy DeVos, education secretary under President Trump, slam America’s public schools as being built on a “factory model” that deprives students of their individuality and churns them out like widgets. Here’s the excerpt, which I have been given permission to publish. The Factory Model Pulling apart a public institution long central to American communities can be a hard sell, especially when accompanied by talk of budget cuts, school closures, and teacher layoffs. In response to public opposition, free-market advocates have made a strategic shift. They have presented their work as a quest not to unmake public schools, but to “personalize” them.
