The Marion County Commission has agreed to ask voters for a 20-year extension of the 1% sales tax that supports public safety capital purchases and road projects.
Proposals for Thursday evening’s special town meeting include road and sidewalk projects, a solar bylaw revamp and a “rainy day” fund to protect taxpayers.
