NorthWestern Energy installing electric vehicle charging stations in Mitchell and Chamberlain
Sioux Falls, SD- Dec. 11, 2020 - NorthWestern Energy is excited to be announced as a rebate recipient from the South Dakota Department of Environment and Natural Resources Volkswagen Mitigation Trust Fund to help purchase and install electric vehicle charging stations in South Dakota. Five other energy providers, Sioux Valley Energy, West River Electric Association, West Central Electric Cooperative, Watertown Municipal Utilities and Brookings Municipal Utilities will also receive rebates. The charging stations will be along the I-29 and I-90 corridors.
In October NorthWestern Energy announced its commitment to include more electric vehicles to the company s fleet and to making investments in electric vehicle charging infrastructure in our service territories.
