of the debate of the rittenhouse trial. it was partially captured on cell phone video. a lot of people are saying, hey, the system worked. at the same time, last year, this got no national attention until the video leaked months after the murder itself. i do think it s noteworthy that the left wingers are still not accepting the kyle rittenhouse acquittal and president biden himself praised the arberry verdict but said he was angry about the rittenhouse verdict. that talk undermines the justice system. your thoughts on the case and the coverage. president biden said he accepted the jury verdict. he probably shared his views about what he thought the facts were and how he saw it from the press. he did accept the verdict. i agree with howie largely, though. the press covered the rittenhouse matter and they covered the arberry matter. some covered the verdict very
booster shot. we talked about whether this is about freedom. i think it s a patriotic responsibility. the announcement follows similar restrictions from a dozen other countries. biden making the case that intellectual property should be waived, a clear sign that the pandemic won t end without global vaccines. it sent markets reeling. the president saying the stock market response was no shock expect it, they always do. democratic pollsters are spooked about inflation, pressuring the white house to be more vocal about the levers they re pulling to address it. president biden respects the independence of the fed to determine monetary policy, he revealed today, he s speaking to them. i talked to the fed about a whole range of thing, monetary
critical theory that talked about race and criminal justice that could address it. anyhoo, the rittenhouse case was influenced by the judge, who seemed to take quite a liking to mr. rittenhouse. he wouldn t let prosecutors call the people he gunned down victims and draw the names of the jurors to be dismissed so he would feel in control, because that s the luxury this young white man was afforded. it s one of many examples that outsized power judges hold. like the judge who decided last week to not send a convicted serial rapist who pleaded guilty to prison after praying about it. it s reminiscent of brock turner s 2017 sexual assault case where the judge gave him a life sentence because of the severe impact jail would have on him. we know for sure not all defendants are forwarded prayer and concern for their well being, with black men getting longer sentence for the exact same crime white men commit. as i mentioned earlier, it says something about our system that it was a shock to man
case. but it would also reach a conclusion that the citizen s arrest now does not apply in this case or the notion of self-defense doesn t apply either. to reach that conclusion you really don t have to take into consideration race. but we do know that race permeates throughout every aspect of this case. so she probably didn t want to go too far with the obvious because she s really appealing to that panel of 12 people who will sit in deliberation and look at the evidence. and she wants a win. and, so, i think that s why she used that strategy and quite frankly it was so obvious that i don t think she needed to drive it home anymore than she did. so cal perry just mentioned a moment ago that there is a pool note that s the reporters that are in the courtroom that indicated there was a verdict. we have now seen that pool note. again, it is indicating there is a verdict so now we are going to wait and see when the court the judge announces or asks everybody to come back into the co
citizens arrest statute actually emanated from. so i think it s a beautiful day in this country, especially on the heels of the verdict that came down in the rittenhouse case. and i think it absolutely shows that we still have a justice system. we still have jurors, people have multiethnic, multiracial backgrounds, who will not fall for race-baiting, who will be empowered to stand firm on what is good sense, good values, and also the law. and so we re relieved, of course. we see it in the georgia community, the brunswick community, feeling vindicated with this very, very powerful verdict. we have some statements that are coming in to us. cal perry, are you still with us? i am, katy, i am. i ve got ben crump s statement here. quote, guilty, guilty, guilty. after two years of pain,
