Inoculation of medical frontliners in Batangas City underway

Published April 24, 2021, 4:13 PM By JOENALD MEDINA RAYOS BATANGAS CITY – The long wait is over for A1 priority groups or medical health frontliners from public and private facilities here as their inoculation kicked off at the Batangas City Convention Center Wednesday. At least 1,051 health professionals from public and private health facilities headed by City Health Officer Dr. Rosanna Barrion have received their first jab of the Sinovac vaccine. They will be inoculated until the supplies for the first jab last. In the A1 group are the Barangay Health Workers (BHWs), Barangay Nutrition Scholars (BNS), Barangay Service Point Officers (BSPO), Barangay Health and Emergency Response Teams (BHERTS), workers at dental clinics, free standing clinics (medical and optical), frontliners in schools, other healthcare facilities, the City Disaster and Risk Reduction Management Office (CDRRMO), Department of Interior and Local Government (DILG), and the City Social Welfare and Development

Central Visayas police on alert as 'Auring' approaches – Manila Bulletin

Published February 20, 2021, 2:47 PM CEBU CITY – The Police Regional Office-Central Visayas (PRO 7) has been placed on alert due to the possible effects of tropical storm “Auring.” Police Brig. Gen. Ronnie Montejo, chief of PRO 7, has instructed police stations in the region to prepare their search and rescue equipment for any eventualities. Police Col. Aladdin Collado, chief of the Cebu provincial police, said they have already coordinated with the crisis response section of the Regional Mobile Force Battalion for the deployment of personnel in northern Cebu which was expected to be affected by Auring Sunday. “We already alerted most of the towns in the northern part of Cebu and in fact the whole province,” said Collado.
