The Hospitality Sales and Marketing Association International (HSMAI) Foundation has announced the launch of its Century Campaign, a five-year fundraising effort ahead of the organization’s upcoming 100th anniversary in 2027. Donations to the Century Campaign will be used to further the mission of the Foundation and its efforts to attract new talent, develop emerging talent, and engage existing talent in the hospitality sales, marketing, and revenue optimization professions.
Discussion of artificial intelligence (AI) seems ubiquitous these days. Many of our Advisory Boards and Rising Leader Councils have held spirited discussions on the topic in the last few months. We’re all familiar with existing AI tools such as virtual assistants, chatbots and automated booking processes. But, over the last 6 months, generative AI has rapidly evolved and entered our collective consciousness. I heard a quote recently that right now generative AI results are about 10% IN-accurate, but that percentage is likely to quickly decline as technology advances, making it an even more powerful tool.
We are an industry of hope, resilience, and determination. 2022 encapsulated all those characteristics and was a story of recovery. The rebound exceeded all our expectations. It is with this spirit of renewal and optimism that we present the 2022 HSMAI Annual Report.
