Uber will open up its platform to London s black cabs next year, the ride-hailing firm said on Wednesday, trying to win over the British capital s taxis after a decade of tensions.
In a move aimed at promoting green and sustainable mobility and enhancing the quality of transportation services in the national capital, the Delhi government on Wednesday notified the Delhi Motor Vehicle Aggregator and Delivery Service Provider Scheme 2023 , which sets the stage for comprehensive regulation and licensing of aggregators providing passenger transport service and delivery services.
Judges at France s top court on Tuesday confirmed that ride-hailing app Uber must pay a fine for deceptive commercial practices and complicity in providing illegal taxi services over its early-2010s product Uber Pop. But French courts have repeatedly held that Uber was not simply putting riders in touch with drivers as it claimed, but instead offering an illegal taxi service.
Didi Global said on Monday its ride-hailing app had experienced a "systems malfunction" after users in multiple cities including Beijing and Shanghai said they were unable to book rides in the evening.
