the new kpix 5 news at 7:00 starts right now without false alarm in san francisco that led to very real emergency response. i am ken bastida. and i am elizabeth cook. several city blocks were blocked down as police scoured the area for a shooter. reporter: there were 2911 calls from this building today. the first was about a man in the street with some kind of weapon. the second was about a possible active shooter. police never found anyone with a gun inside this building. now, they are working to clear up the confusion. a lot of action. just working on the normal day. they came in with police officers, and evacuated us. reporter: hundreds of potrero hill employees evacuated their office building on rhode island street follow possible active shooter. the bomb squad, san francisco fire department tactical team, and heavily armed police surround the area for several hours. all of this was for a false alarm. at this a point, there appears to be no merit. reporter: 29
