This is how local people have reacted to the death of harry dunn, a teenager from their community, killed on a country road. Harry had been on his motorbike when he was hit by a car. The double decker was travelling on the a385 between totnes and paignton when it came off the road and ended up on its side in a field. Richard lister has more. Just after am this morning, and the Emergency Services are responding to a major incident. 37 people were injured eight of them seriously when this double decker bus came off the road. Casualties were taken to hospitals across the region. Witnesses at the scene said up to 20 people were trapped in the wreckage and the fire and rescue service had to use specialist equipment to get them out. My friend was trapped on the bus for 45 minutes because. Thankfully, she wasnt injured but they had to cut holes in the roof of the bus to get people out. And, obviously, they couldnt move people who were badly injured. They were trying to get those people out first.
