Families of the victims of the uvalde Mass School Shooting have expressed their outrage after a report cleared the police of wrongdoing. 19 children and two teachers were killed in the may 2022 attack. Nearly 400 officers responded, but it took 77 minutes after the first officers arrived for police to confront and kill the 18 year old shooter. An independent investigator was assigned to look at the local police response, which has been criticised as slow. He found officers acted in good faith.
