Tessica Brown, 40, from Violet, will give the cash to the Restore Foundation
The charity helps those needing reconstructive surgery and is the brainchild of LA based Dr Obeng, who reached out to say he could remove the adhesive
Brown had started her fundraising page with a goal of $1,500 to buy the wigs she was told she would need after using the superglue when she ran out of hairspray
But, after the Tik Tok video about her plight went viral, she raised thousands
She then flew to LA for the $12,500 procedure that took four hours to complete
As of Sunday she had raised more than $23,000 in donations; the rest of the money will cover an ER visit she was forced to make and her travel expenses
Tessica Brown — aka ‘Gorilla Glue Girl’ — is showing her gratitude for the support she was giving during her ordeal by donating a majority of her GoFundMe haul to a group supporting others going through similar trauma or those requiring expensive surgery. According to TMZ, Brown’s manager said that after garnering more than $21,000 in public donations, the Louisiana woman has decided to contribute most of the money to Restore Foundation. It is a nonprofit organization that provides reconstructive surgery services for people around the world.
Tessica Brown, from Violet, went viral earlier this month when she revealed she had sprayed permanent adhesive in her hair after running out of hairspray.
