WITTENBERG, Wis. Brian Mattmiller is the first person in Central Wisconsin to win the award for having the highest bowling average in the state. He claimed the title for his impressive highs during the 2019-20 bowling season. It is something anybody can do, no matter what age. Four-hundred pounder, a four-pounder. It doesn t matter; anyone can do it. So, that s what I love about it, says Mattmiller, who hails from Antigo.
Mattmiller s love of the game began when he was three. Now, the best bowler in the state bowls at my mom-and-pop bowling alley, says Jason Resch, the owner of Resch Lanes in Wittenberg. It took Brian 30 years to become an overnight success, but this is what hard work, dedication, honesty can do for somebody.
