Rara vez encontrarás a un dominicano en una boleta electoral como candidato republicano, pero de vez en cuando uno de los nuestros, en busca de espacio propio o disgustado con los demócratas, opta por postularse como republicano.

A pesar de la izquierda valiente y libertadora que llevamos los dominicanos en la sangre y el pecho, no es menos cierto que también llevamos otra de derecha, igualmente valiente y libertadora. Una derecha que inadvertidamente se confunde con racismo, por su arraigada postura anti-haitiana y su histórica atadura al caudillo y su sucesor.
