One of the first projects i undertook was to implement paramedic Level Services its the highest level of service we can delive in the field its the first time in the history of the Reno Fire Department weve been able to deliver that level of service. Up to this point the Reno Fire Department had provided advanced emt Level Services which is great and requires about 250 hours of education and training. The difference with paramedical Level Service is that paramedics bring in an additional 1500 hours of training and experience to the field. Often the Fire Department is first on scene. And having advanced Life Support Services on board can make a big difference in the field. One of the few things we can do as paramedics in a pre hospital setting is lessen suffering, so now we have some extrea tools in our tool kit. We gcan give them pain medication, we can alleviate that suffering and if theyre waiting for a time before they al the difference in their experience en route to the hospital r

While speaking in iowa on monday, she argued that drug addicts and those suffering from Mental Illness should not be sent to jail, but should be helped. Here in reno the Crossroads Program aims to do exactly that. The Washoe County Sheriffs Office and Catholic Charities help these recovering addicts find a job and get a fresh start on life. Without the program i would be in a rough spot or still in jail. So it is a big changeover. Drug addicts and alcoholics do not deserve to be incarcerated.
