KUALA LUMPUR: MCA has taken a positive step forward in helping the rakyat weather the Covid-19 downturn, following the launch of its #GoCareBeMYHero Awareness Campaign on Saturday (Feb 20).
GoCare project manager Xilas Ngang said the campaign was part of the MCA Crisis Relief Squad (MCRS) programme to help budding entrepreneurs, while also raising funds to help frontliners, underprivileged and charitable non-governmental organisations hard pressed by the Covid-19 situation. Under the #GoCareBeMYHero Awareness Campaign, one of the tasks is to help people find jobs by encouraging people to start businesses, especially young people because they are the future of this country, he said at the launching of the campaign at Wisma MCA on Saturday.
From opposition to government: Dr Wee has taken every challenge in his stride in the past year, including working from home during the pandemic.
NOT many Malaysian Cabinet ministers would take a look at their own performance to assess if they have done enough for the country. But Transport Minister and MCA president Datuk Seri Dr Wee Ka Siong will not hesitate to do this.
And he did this on his own accord after his first 100 days as Transport Minister in mid-2020. The tabulation of his “achievements” could be seen in his Facebook page, filled with daily updates on his government and political work.

PETALING JAYA: MCA’s Crisis Relief Squad (CRSM) is collaborating with businesses who are struggling to sell pre-ordered Chinese New Year goods because of the Covid-19 pandemic.
CRSM said as Malaysia has been placed under the second movement control order, sellers who pre-ordered Chinese New Year goods are now facing the challenge to sell these goods after the number of customers in the streets dropped drastically.
CRSM said it has organised the GoCare #BeMYHero Awareness Campaign, to help promote the sellers products on Facebook as a free marketing platform.
CRSM national chief Datuk Natalie Lim said the campaign’s main goal is to assist those affected by the pandemic, regardless whether they are the vulnerable members of society or business owners.
