Discussions during the meeting went over issues related to humanitarian and relief affairs, ways to address the spread of epidemics and viruses, and coordination between the two sides to provide the necessary vaccines.
The global fund was launched with the support of the UN High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR) and the Islamic Solidarity Fund for Development of the Islamic Development Bank, with an initial capital of $100 million, on the sidelines of the UN General Assembly’s 77th session in New York.
During the meeting, they reviewed the friendly relations between the GCC countries and the Russian Federation, and ways to enhance them in all areas of cooperation.
