RFE/RL’s 2021 cohort of Regional Reporting Fellows could not travel to Prague last year as part of their fellowship owing to COVID. Most were, however, able to make up for it this past March and spend a week at RFE/RL’s headquarters, receiving training and visiting Czech media outlets. They shared their experiences of the Fellowship and what they learned. The Regional Reporting Fellowship is open to aspiring journalists from Armenia, Belarus, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Georgia, Kosovo, Moldova, Montenegro, North Macedonia, Serbia, and Ukraine. Funded by a grant from the U.S. Department of State, the Fellowship runs for eight months.
