reality of the situation in georgia in terms of what the former lieutenant governor was trying to do after the 2020 election and get the truth out there to the people of georgia and to the country. doug, i wanted to go back to a point you made about this hurting donald trump in georgia. obviously the backdrop of this is the 2024 presidential campaign, and he s leading pretty broadly across the map, in iowa, new hampshire, et cetera. how do you think this plays out when it comes to his effort to take the republican ticket in 2024? it shouldn t hurt him. it shouldn t hurt him for two reasons. one, ultimately and bizarrely this reenforces donald trump s message. he s said all along the system is rigged, rigged against me and rigged against you. this becomes evidence to his base. his opponents by and large seem hesitant to attack donald trump on the things that any other candidate would do in any other
goggles. she told me that s dumb. they should go on your head. i am not buying that bathing suit because i am a phobic. greg: it s dumb for people to go into these stores and make a big deal about it. that reenforces the idea that you are like outraged. no one is outraged. we think it s pathetic. these stores are doing this to raise their die points among activists. we don t give a [bleep]. have a trans-section like big and tall. greg: you have to bring that up. i am big and tall. at target? right next to the baby section where you can get your stuff. [laughing]. greg: don t laugh at that people.
repeat the allegations that it was. the former president first among them and including some of his mega phones on fox news. irresponsie pedaling false narrative. that s outrageous. that reenforces that the attack on the capitol was motivated by lies to the american people. a lot of people at the capitol sincerely believed that the election was stolen. that s because people lied to them. that was one of the central take aways of our investigation and the dominion lawsuit is just provided further evidence of that. so not people, tucker carlson lied to them. fox news lied to them. i m sure he was not watching this show. if they watch television, had they watch fox news. when you read through the dominion documents and i m not a lawyer, i m not a first amendment lawyer, but i have lived in this political moment.
more power potentially running for president can t even follow or use his own state laws. now if you think about it, it s not clear that judges or others will be impressed with this maneuver. it s not like usually if you re not governor, you can just take something that was unconstitutional or illegal then claim it was legal back at the time. if anything, the fact that they have to do this kind of reenforces the sense that maybe it was not legal at the time. so again, it will all be fixed potentially not by the legislature, but in court when these folks get their day in court and we will follow that as well. in the meantime, it looks like a pretty sloppy clean up on aisle desanctis. when we come back, we re going to show you why there is so much outrage on fox news about the music and diversity stories we shared earlier in the week from the grammys. this is a political story with a little bit of culture and it s
on risky behavior. that could effect them. if russia is going to make threats like this and be more belly coast, on certainly one of the most of allies. that reenforces the view that russia is a more risky prospect. more dangerous and therefore need the support of nato. which is the direction they re headed in. and it does as you say, all the indications are that russia already has these nuclear tactical missiles. which is behind the baltic states. on the gulf of finland. it already is right on the edge of europe and just across the sea from helsinki. it doesn t change anything more reenforces the view already being taken in finland. finland actually does have a peace treaty with russia. it was renewed again in 1992.
